CHAPTER I.

6 And hath made us kings and

THE Revelation of Jesus Christ, priests unto God and his Father; to

him be glory and dominion for ever

which God gave unto him, to shew
unto his servants things which must and ever. Amen.

signified it by his angel unto his ser-

7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kin2 Who bare record of the word of dreds of the earth shall wail because God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. 3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. 9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

IO I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

II Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira,

12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;

CHAPTER II.

14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. 16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth

2 I know thy works, and thy labour,
and thy patience, and how thou canst
not bear them which are evil: and
thou hast tried them which say they
are apostles, and are not, and hast
found them liars:

19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.

20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach 14 But I have a few things against and to seduce my servants to commit

CHAPTER III.

25 But that which ye have already

II Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and he shall go no more out: and I will knock: if any man hear my voice, write upon him the name of my God, and open the door, I will come in to and the name of the city of my God, him, and will sup with him, and he which is new Jerusalem, which com-with me.
