JESUS TEACHES BY PARABLES.

those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

MATT. 13. 24-Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?

28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

MARK 4. 26-And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;

27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.

28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.

29 But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

MATT. 13. 31-Another parable put he forth unto them, saying,

MARK 4, 30-Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?

MATT. 13. 31-The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:

MARK 4. 31-which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:

32 But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches,

MATT. 13. 32-and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

33 Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

MARK 4. 33-And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it.

34 But without a parable spake he not unto them :

MATT. 13, 35-That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

MARK 4. 34-And when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.

LUKE 8.9-disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?

MARK 4. 11-And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables :

12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.

13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?

MATT. 13. 18-Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.

LUKE 8. 11-Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.

MARK 4. 14-The sower soweth the word.

LUKE 8. 12-Those by the way-side
MARK 4. 15-where the word is sown,

LUKE 8. 12-are they that hear,

MATT. 13. 19-the word of the kingdom;
MARK 4, 15-but when they have heard,

MATT. 13. 19-and understandeth it not, then MARK 4. 15-Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts;

LUKE 8. 12-lest they should believe and be saved.

MATT. 13. 19-This is he which received seed by the way side.

MARK 4, 16-And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;

17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward,

LUKE 8.13-in time of temptation,

MARK 4. 17-when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended. And

LUKE 8. 13-fall away.

14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which,when they have heard MARK 4. 18-the word,

LUKE 8. 14-go forth,

MARK 4. 19-and the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches,

LUKE 8. 14-and pleasures of this life,

MARK 4, 19-and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as

LUKE 8. 15-in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience;

MARK 4. 20-some thirty-fold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

21 And he said unto them,

LUKE 8. 16-No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it MARK 4. 21-under a bushel, or under a bed; LUKE 8. 16-but setteth it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light.

MARK 4. 22-For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret.

LUKE 8. 17-that shall not be known and come abroad.

MARK 4. 23-If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.

25 For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which

LUKE 8. 18-he seemeth to have.

MATT. 13. 36-And his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

37 He answered and said unto them, He that Soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

38 The field is the world; the good seed are the Children of the kingdom; but the tares are the hildren of the wicked one;

39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchantman, seeking goodly pearls:

46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:

48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

51 Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.

52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of
