8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

9 After this manner therefore pray ye: 'Our *Father which art in 'heaven" Hallowed' be thy

And he said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. 1 COR. x. 13: There hath no temptation taken you, but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 2 PET. ii. 9: The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptation. REV. iii, 10: Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I will also keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

JOHN, Xvii. 15: I pray not, that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
