15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are "dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see : and your ears, for they hear.

The LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes; the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered. JER. v. 21: Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not. EZEK. xii. 2: Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house. MARK, iv. 12: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. LUKE, viii. 10: And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. JOHN, xii. 40: He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. ACTs, xxviii. 26, 27: Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. ROM. xi. 8: According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear unto this day. 2 Cor. iii. 14, 15: Their minds were blinded for unto this day remaineth the same vail untaken away, in the reading the old testament, which vail is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.

HEB. v. 11: Of whom [Melchisedec] we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. Mat. xvi. 17 : The words under ver. 11. LUKE. X. 23, 24:

And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things which ye see. For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things, &c. as in MAT. xiii. 17. JOHN, xx. 29: Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed; blessed are they that have not seen and yet have believed. 2 COR. iv. 6: For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

DAN. ii. 44: In the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed. 28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

29 But he said, "Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest : and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
