The trespass-offering.

LEVITICUS.

23 For every meat-offering for the priest hall be wholly burnt it fhall not be

eaten.

244 And the LORD fpake unto Mofes, faying,

25 Speak unto Aaron and to his fons, faying, This is the law of the fin-offering: in the place where the burnt-offering is killed, shall the fin-offering be killed before the LORD: it is moft holy.

26 The priest that offereth it for fin, fhall eat it in the holy place fhall it be eaten, in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation.

27 What foever shall touch the flesh thereof thall be holy and when there is sprinkled of the blood thereof upon any garment,thou halt wash that whereon it was fprinkled, in the holy place.

28 But the earthen veffel wherein it is fodden, fhall be broken: and if it be fodden in a brafen pot, it fhail be both fcoured and rinfed in water.

29 All the males among the priests shall eat thereof: it most holy.

30 And no fin-offering whereof any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle of the congregation to reconcile withal in the holy place, fhall be eaten: it fhall be burnt in the fire.

CHAP. VII.

The law of the trefpass-offering, II and of the peace-offerings. 22 The fat, 26 and the blood are forbidden.

Blood forbidden. giving, unleavened cakes mingled with oyl, and unleavened wafers anointed with oy, and cakes mingled with oyl, of fine flour fried.

13 Befides the cakes, he thall effer for his offering, leavened bread, with the facrifice of thanksgiving, of his peace-offerings.

14 And of it he hall offer one out of the whole oblation, for an heave-offering unto the LORD, and it fhall be the priests, that fprinkleth the blood of the peace-offerings.

15 And the flesh of the facrifice of his peace-offerings for thanksgiving, fhall be eaten the fame day that it is offered: he fhall not leave any of it until the morning.

16 But if the facrifice of his offering te a vow or a voluntary offering, it fhall be eaten the fame day that he offereth his facrifice: and on the morrow alfo the remainder of it fhall be eaten.

17 But the remainder of the flesh of the facrifice on the third day, thall be burnt with fire.

18 And if any of the flesh of the facrifice of his peace-offerings be eaten at all on the third day, it fhall not be accepted, neither fhall it be imputed unto him that offereth it: it fhall be an abomination, and the foul that eateth of it, fhall bear his inquity.

19 And the flesh that toucheth any unclean thing, fhall not be eaten, it fhall be burnt with fire and as for the flesh, all that be clean fhall eat thereof.

6 Every male among the priests, fhall eat thereof it fhall be eaten in the holy place: it is most holy.

7 As the fin-offering is, fo is the trefpafsoffering there is one law for them the prieft that maketh atonement therewith, hall have it.

8 And the priest that offereth any mans burnt-offering, even the priest shall have to himfelf the skin of the burnt-offering which he hath offered.

9 And all the meat-offering that is baken in the oven, and all that is dreffed in the frying-pan and in the pan, fhall be the priests that offereth it.

10 And every meat-offering mingled with oyl, and dry, fhall all the fons of Aaron have, one as much as another.

II And this is the law of the facrifice of peace-offerings, which he thall offer unto the LORD,

unto the LORD,

on him, even that foul fhall be cut off from his people.

21 Moreover, the foul that fhall touch any unclean thing, as the uncleanness of man, or any unclean beaft, or any abominable unclean thing, and eat of the flesh of the facrifice of peace-offerings which pertain unto the LORD, even that foul fhall be cut off from his people.

22 4 And the LORD fpake unto Mofes, faying,

23 Speak unto the children of Ifrael, faying, Ye fhall eat no manner fat of ox, or of theep, or of goat.

24 And the fat of the beaft that dieth of it felf, and the fat of that which is torn with beafts may be used in any other ufe: but ye fhall in no wife eat of it.

25 For whofoever eateth the fat of the beaft of which men offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, even the foul that eateth it fhall be cut off from his people.

26 Moreover, ye fhall eat no manner of blood, whether it be of fowl, or of beast, in any of your dwellings.

17 Whatsoever foul it be that eateth any manner of blood, even that foul fhall be cut off from his people.

28 q And the LORD fpake unto Mofes, faying,

29 Speak unto the children of Ifrael, fay ing, He that offereth the facrifice of his peace-offerings unto the LORD, fhall bring his oblation unto the LORD, of the facrifice of his peace-offerings.

12 If he offer it for a thanksgiving, then 30 His own hands fhall bring the affer he hall offer with the facrifice of thankings of the LORD made by fire, the fat

33 He among the fons of Aaron that offer. eth the blood of the peace-offerings, and the fat, fhall have the right fhoulder for his part. 34 For the wave-breaft, and the heave, fhoulder have I taken of the children of If rael, from off the facrifices of their peace-offerings, and have given them unto Aaron the prieft, and unto his fons, by a ftatute for ever, From among the children of Ifrael.

35 This is the portion of the anointing of Aaron, and of the anointing of his fons, out of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, in the day when he prefented them, to minifter unto the LORD in the priests office:

36 Which the LORD commanded to be given them of the children of Ifrael, in the day that he anointed them, by a statute for ever, throughout their generations.

37 This is the law of the burnt-offering, of the meat-offering, and of the fin-offering, and of the trefpafs-offering, and of the con fecrations, and of the facrifice of the peace offerings:

38 Which the LORD commanded Mofes in mount Sinai, in the day that he commanded the children of Ifrael to offer their oblations unto the LORD, in the wilderness of Sinai. HAP. VIII.

And the LORD fpake unto Mofes, faying, 2 Take Aaron and his fons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oyl, and a bullock for the fin-offering, and two rams, and a basket of unleavened bread.

3 And gather thou all the congregation to gether unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

4 And Mofes did as the LORD commanded him, and the affembly was gathered together unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

5 And Mofes faid unto the congregation, This is the thing which the LORD command ed to be done.

6 And Mofes brought Aaron and his fons,

and wathed them with water.

And he put upon him the coat,and girded him with the girdle, and cloathed him with the robe, and put the ephod upon him, and he girded him with the curious girdle of the ephod, and bound it unto him therewith. 8 And he put the breaft-plate upon him: alfo he put in the breaft-plate the Urim and Thummim

9 And he put the mitre upon his head; alfo upon the mitre even upon his forefront did he put the golden plate, the holy crown; as the LORD commanded Mofes.

19 And Moles took the anointing oy!, and anointed the tabernacle, and all that was therein, and fanctified them,

24 And he brought Aarons fons, and Mofes put of the blood upon the tip of their right ear, and upon the thumbs of their right hands, and upon the great toes of their right feet: and Mofes fprinkled the blood upon the altar round about.

34 As he hath done this day, fo the LORD hath commanded to do, to make an atonement for you.

35 Therefore fhall ye abide at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation day and night, feven days, and keep the charge of the LORD, that ye die not: for foam Commanded.

36 So Aaron and his fons did all things which the LORD commanded by the hand of Mofes.

CHAP. IX.

2,8 Arons fin-offering, and burnt-offering for himself and people. 23 The people bleed, 24 Fire from beaven.

And it came to pals on the eighth day,

that Mofes called Aaron and his fons, and the elders of Ifrael;

2 And he faid unto Aaron, Take thee a young calf for a fin-offering, and a ram for a burnt-offering, without blemish, and offer them before the LORD.

3 And unto the children of Ifrael thou alt fpeak, faying, Take ye a kid of the goats, for a fin-offering; and a calf, and a lamb, both of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt-offering;

4 Alfo a bullock and a ram, for peace offerings, to facrifice before the LORD; and a meat-offering mingled with oyl :.for to day the LORD will appear unto you.

5. And they brought that which Mofes commanded before the tabernacle of the congregation and all the congregation drew near and ftood before the LORD.

6 And Mofes faid, This the thing which the LORD commanded that ye fhould do: and the glory of the LORD fhall appear un to you.

And Mores faid unto Aaron, Go unto the altar, and offer thy fin-offering, and thy burnt-offering, and make an atonement for thy felf and for the people and offer the offering of the people, and make an atonement for them; as the LORD commanded. 84 Aaron therefore went unto the altar, and dew the calf of the fin-offering, which na for himself.

10 But the fat and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver of the fin-offering he burnt upon the altar; as the LORD commanded Mofes.

11 And the flesh and the hide he burnt with fire, without the camp.

12 And he flew the burnt-offering; and Aarons fons prefented unto him the blood which he sprinkled round about upon the altar.

13 And they prefented the burnt-offer. ing unto him, with the pieces thereof, and the head : and he burnt them upon the altar.

14 And he did wash the inwards and the legs, and burnt them upon the burnt-offering on the altar.

16 And he brought the burnt-offering, and offered it according to the manner.

17 And he brought the meat-offering, and took an handful thereof, and burnt it upon the altar, befide the burnt-facrifice of the morning

18 He flew alfo the bullock and the ram, for a facrifice of peace-offerings, which mu for the people: and Aarons fons prefented unto him the blood (which he sprinkled upon the altar round about)

19 And the fat of the bullock, and of the rant, the rump, and thas which covereth the inwards, and the kidneys, and the caul abes the liver

20 And they put the fat upon the beafts, and he burnt the fat upon the altar:

21 And the breafts and the right shoulder Aaron waved for a wave-offering before the LORD; as Mofes commanded.

22 And Aaron lift up his hand towards the people, and bleed them; and came down from offering of the fin-offering, and the burnt-offering, and peace-offerings.

23 And Moles and Aaron went into the ta bernacle of the congregation, and came out, and bleffed the people and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the people.

24 And there came a fire out from before. the LORD, and confumed upon the altar the burnt-offering, and the fat: which when all the people faw, they fhouted, and fell on their faces.

CHAP. X.

1 Nadab and Aibu burnt. 8 The priests for bidden wine when they go into the tabernacle.

And Nadab and Abhu, the fons of Aaron;

took either of them his cenfer, and put fire therein, and put incenfe thereon, and of fered ftrange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not.

2 And there went out fire from the LORD and devoured them, and they died before the LORD.

3 Then Mofes faid unto Aaron, This i that the LORD fpake, faying, I will be fanctified in them that come nigh me, and

4 And Mofes called Mishael and Elzaphan, the fons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and faid unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the fanctuary out of the camp.

5. So they went near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp; as Mofes had faid.

6 And Mofes faid unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar his fons, Uncover not your heads, neither rend your cloaths; left you die, and left wrath come upon all the people but let your brethren, the whole houfe of Ifrael, bewail the burning which the LORD hath kindled.

And ye shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, left you die: for the anointing oyl of the LORD upon you. And they did according to the word of Mofes.

9 Do not drink wine nor ftrong drink, thou, nor thy fons with thee, when ye go into the tabernacle of the congregation; left ye die: It shall be a ftatute for ever throughout your generations :

To And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean :

11 And that ye may teach the children of Ifrael all the statutes which the LORD hath spoken unto them by the hand of Mofes.

129 And Mofes ipake unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar his fons that were left, Take the meat-offering that remaineth of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and eat it without leaven befide the altar: for it is most holy.

13 And ye fhall eat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy fons due of the facrifices of the LORD made by fire: for fo I am commanded.

14 And the wave-breaft, and heave-fhoulder fhall ye eat in a clean place; thou and thy fons, and thy daughters with thee: for they be thy due, and thy fons due, which are given out of the facrifices of peace-offerings of the children of Ifrael.

15 The heave-fhoulder, and the wavebreaft fhall they bring, with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a waveoffering before the LORD, and it shall be thine, and thy fons with thee, by a ftatute for ever; as the LORD hath commanded.

16 And Mofes diligently fought the goat of the fin-offering, and behold it was burnt: and he was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, the fons of Aaron, which were left alive, faying

17 Wherefore have ye not eaten the finoffering in the holy place, feeing it is most holy, and God hath given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the LORD!

4 Neverthelel's, thefe fhall ye not eat, of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the hoof: the camel, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he unclean unto you.

5 And the cony, becaufe he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof: he is unclean unto you.

6 And the hare because he cheweth the cud but divideth not the hoof: he is unclean unto you.

And the fwine, though he divide the hoof and be cloven-footed; yet he cheweth not the cud: he unclean to you.

8 Of their flefh fhall ye not eat, and their carcafe shall ye not touch: they are unclean to you.

9q Thefe fhall ye eat, of all that are in the waters: whatfoever hath fins and cales in the waters, in the feas, and in the rivers, them fhall ye eat.

10 And all that have not fins, nor fcales in the feas, and in the rivers of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing, which in the waters; they shall be an abomination unto you.

11 They fhall be even an abomination unto you ye fhall not eat of their flefh, but you fhall have their carcafes in abomi nation.

12 Whatfoever hath no fins nor fcales, in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

139 And there are they which ye fhall have in abomination among the fowls, they fhall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the offifrage, and the ofpray,

14 And the vulture, and the kite, after his.. kind:

15 Every raven after his kind:

16 And the owl, and the night-hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,

17 And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl,

24 And for thefe ye fhall be unclean: whofoever toucheth the carcafe of them, fhall be unclean until the even.

25 And whofoever beareth ought of the carcafe of them, fhall wafh his cloaths, and be unclean until the even.

26 The carcafes of every beaft which divideth the hoof, and is not cloven-footed, nor cheweth the cud, are unclean unto you every one that toucheth them fhall be unclean.

27 And what foever goeth upon his paws, among all manner of beafts that go on all four, thofe are unclean unto you whofo toucheth their carcafe, shall be unclean until the even.

28 And he that beareth the carcase of them, fhall wash his cloaths, and be unclean until the even they are unclean unto you.

299 Thefe alfo fhall be unclean unto you among the creeping things that creep upon the earth the weafel and the moule, and the tortoife after his kind,

30 And the ferret, and the chamelon, and the lizard, and the fail, and the mole.

31 There are unclean to you among all that creep: whofoever doth touch them when they be dead, fhall be unclean until the even.

32 And upon whatfoever any of them; when they are dead, doth fall, it fhall be unclean; whether it be any veffel of wood, or raiment, or sktn, or fack, whatfoever veffel it be, wherein any work is done, lit must be put into water, and it fhall be unclean until the even; fo it fhall be cleanfed.

33 And every earthen veffel, whereinto any of them falleth, whatsoever in it fhall be unclean; and ye fhall break.it.

34 Of all meat which may be eaten, that on which fach water cometh, fhall be unclean and all drink that may, be drunk in every fuch veffel, fhall be unclean.

35 And every thing, whereupon any part of their carcafe falleth, fhall be unclean; whe ber it be oven, or ranges for pots, they fhall be broken down for they are unclean, and fhall be unclean unto vou.

36 Nevertheless, a fountain or pit, where in there is plenty of water, fhall be clean but that which toucheth their carcafe fhall be unclean.

37 And if any part of their carcafe fall up on any fowing feed which is to be fown; it Shall be clean.

38 But if any water be put upon the feed, and any part of their carcafe fall thereon; it fball be unclean unto you.

39 And if any beast of which ye may eat die he that toucheth the carcafe thereof, fhall be unclean until the even.

40 And he that eateth of the carcafe of it, fhall wash his cloaths, and be unclean until the even: he alfo that beareth, the carcafe of it, fhall wash his cloaths, and be unclean until the even

41 And every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, Shall be an abomination: it all not be eaten.

Womans parification. 42 Whatfoever goeth upon the belly, and whatfoever goeth upon all four, or what fo ever hath more feet among all creeping things that creep upon the earth; them ye shall not eat, for they are an abomination.

43 Ye fhall not make your felves abominable with any creeping thing that creepeth, neither fhall ye make your felves unclean with them, that ye thould be defiled thereby.

44 For I am the LORD your God: ye fhall therefore fanctifié your felves, and ye thall be holy; for I am holy; neither fhall ye defile your felves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

45 For I am the LORD that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye fhall therefore be holy, for I am holy.

46 This is the law of the beafts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth:

47 To make a difference between the un.. clean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten, and the beast that may not be eaten.

CHAP. XII.

1 The purification of a woman. 6 Her offerings. after child-birth.

And the LORD spake unto Mofes, fay..

ing,

2 Speak unto the children of Ifrael, fay ing, If a woman have conceived feed, and born a man-child: then fhe fhall be unclean feven days: according to the days of the feparation for her infirmity shall she be unclean.

3 And in the eighth day, the flesh of his foreskin fhall be circumcifed.

4 And the fhall then continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days: the fhall touch no hallowed thing, nor come in to the fanctuary, until the days of her puri.. fying be fulfilled.

5But if the bear a maid-child, then fhefhall be unclean two weeks, as in her fepa ration: and the fhall continue in the blood of her purifying threefcore and fix days.

6 And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a fon, or for a daughter; the fhall bring a lamb of the first year for a burntoffering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove for a fin-offering, unto the door of the: tabernacle of the congregation, unto the prieft:

7 Who fhall offer it before the LORD, and make an atonement for her, and the fhall be cleanfed from the iffue of her blood. This is the law for her that hath born a male or a female..

8 And if the be not able to bring a lamb,. then the fhall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the one for the burnt-offering, and the other for a fin-offering: and the prieft fhall make an atonement for her, and The fhall be clean.

CHAR XIII.
Tokens to difcern the leprofe.

And the LORD fpake unto Mofes, and

z When a man thall have in the skin of his flesh a rifing, a fcab, or bright fpot,. and it be in the skin of his flesh like the plague of leprofie; then he shall be brought
