22 But if thou fhalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I fpeak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adverfary unto thine adverfaries.

23 For mine angel fhall go before thee and bring thee in unto the Amorites,and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, and the Hivites, and the Jebufites: and I will cut them off.

24 Thou shalt not bow down to their gods. nor ferve them, nor do after their works but thou fhalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.

25 And ye thall ferve the LORD your God, and he fhall blefs thy bread and thy water and I will take ficknéfs away from the midft of thee.

26 9 There fhall nothing caft their young, nor be barren in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil..

28 And I will fend hornets before thee, 13 And Mofes rofe up, and his minifter fo which fhall drive out the Hivite, the Ca- fhua: and Mofes went up into the mount of God. naanite, and the Hittite from before thee.

29 I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; left the land become defolate, and the beast of the field multiply, against thee.

30 By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land.

31 And I will fet thy bounds from the Red fea, even unto the fea of the Philiftines, and from the defert unto the river: for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou fhalt drive them out: before thee.

32 Thou fhalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods..

33 They fhall not dwell in thy land, left they make thee fin against me: for if thou forve their gods, it will furely be a fnare

unto thee.

CHAP XXIV. Mofes is called up into the mountain. 3 The people promife obedience. 9 The glory of God appeareth,

And he faid unto Mofes, Come up unto

the LORD, thou and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and feventy of the elders of Ifrael:: and worship ye afar off.

2 And Mofes alone fhall come near the LORD: but they fhall not come nigh, neither fhall the people go up with him.

39 And Mofes came and told the people all the words of the LORD, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and faid, All the words which the LORD hath faid, will we do.

4 And Mofes wrote all the words of the LORD, and rofe up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars according to the twelve tribes

of Ifrael.

5 And he fent young men of the children of Ifrael, which offered burnt-offerings, and facrificed peace-offerings of oxen unto the LORD.

6 And Mofes took half of the blood, and put it in bafons; and half of the blood he prinkled on the altar.

7 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they faid, All that the LORD hath faid, will we do, and be obedient.

8 And Mofes took the blood and fprinkled it on the people, and faid, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all thefe words.

Then went up Mofes and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and feventy of the elders of Ifrael

10 And they faw the God of Ifrael: and there was under his feet, as it were a paved work of a fapphire-ftone, and as it were the body of heaven in bis clearness.

11 And upon the nobles of the children of Ifrael he laid not his hand: alfo they faw God, and did eat and drink.

129 And the LORD faid unto Mofes, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of ftone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayef teach them.

14 And he said unto the elders, Tarry ye here for us, until we come again unto you: and behold, Aaron and Hur,are with you: if any man have any matters to do, let him come unto them.

15 And Mofes went up into the mount,. and a cloud covered the mount.

16 And the glory of the LORD abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it fix days and the feventh day. he called unto Mofes out of the midst of the cloud.

17 And the fight of the glory of the LORD was like devouring fire on the top of the mount, in the eyes of the children of

18 And Mofes went into the midst of

the cloud, and gat him up into the mount and Mofes was in the mount forty days and forty nights.

CHAP. XXV.

The offering for making of the tabernacle. 10 The form of the ark. 17 The mercy-feat.23 The table, 31 and candlestick.

Nd the LORD fpake unto Mofes, fay ing,

Speak unto the children of Ifrael, that they bring me an offering of every man that giveth it willingly with his heart, ye fhall take my offering.

3 And this is the offering which ye shall take of them; gold, and filver, and brafs, 4 And blue, and purple, and fearlet, and fine linen, and goats hair,

And rams skins died red, and badgers skins, and fhittim wood,

6.Oyl for the light, fpices for anointing oyl, and for fweet incenfe,

7 Onyx-ftones, and ftones to be fet in the ephod, and in the breaft-plate

8 And let then make me a fanctuary ; that › I may dwellamongst them.

9 According to all that I fhew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the inftruments thereof, even fo fhall ye make it.

109 And they fhall make an ark of shit tim-wood: two cubits, and a half hat bethe length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.

II And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, within and without shalt thou overlay it and fhalt make upon it a crown of gold round about..

12 And thou fhalt caft four rings of gold for it, and put them in the four corners. thereof; and two rings fhall be in the one fide of it, and two rings in the other fide of it.

13 And thou fhalt make ftaves of fhittim wood, and overlay them with gold.

14 And thou fhalt put the faves into the rings, by the fides of the ark, that the ark may be born with them.

15 The ftaves fhall be in the rings of the ark: they fhall not be taken from it.

16 And thou shalt put into the ark-the teftimony which I fhall give thee.

17 And thou fhalt make a mercy-feat of pure gold: two cubits and a half fall be the length

18 And thou fhalt make two cherubims of gold: of beaten work fhalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy-feat.

19 And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end even of the mercy-feat fhall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.

20 And the cherubims fhali fretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy-feat with their wings, and their faces hall look one to another: toward the mercy-feat shall the faces of the cherubims be.

21 And thou shalt put the mercy-feat above upon the ark, and in the ark thou shalt put the teftimony that I fhall give thee.

22 And there I will meet with thee, and

will commune with thee, from above the mercy-feat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the teftimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Ifrael.

23 Thou fhalt alfo make a table of fhittim-wood: two cubits shall be the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.

24 And thou fhalt overlay it with pure gold, and make thereto a crown of gold round about.

25 And thou shalt make unto it a border of an hand-breadth round about, and thou fhalt make a golden Crown to the border thereof round about.

26 And thou fhalt make for it four rings of gold, and put the rings in the four corners that are on the four feet thereof.

27 Over against the border fhall the rings be for places of the staves to bear the table.

28 And thou fhalt make the ftaves of fhittim-wood, and overlay them with gold, that the table may be born with them.

29 And thou shalt make the dishes thereof, and fpoons thereof, and covers thereof, and bowls thereof, to cover withal: of pure gold Shalt thou make them.

30 And thou fhalt fet upon the table, fhew. bread before me alway.

314 And thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold of beaten work fhall the candle tick be made his fhaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers fhall be of the fame."

32 And fix branches fhall come out of the fides of it: three branches of the candlestick out of the one fide, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other fide.

33 Three bowls made like unto almonds, with a knop and a flower in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch, with a knop and a flower: fo in the fix branches that come out of the candlestick.

334 And in the candlestick fhall be four bowls made like unto almonds, with their knops and their flowers.

35 And there fhall be a knop under two branches of the fame, and a knop under two branches of the fame, and a knop under two branches of the fanie, according to the fix branches that proceed out of the candlestick

36 Their knops and their branches fhall be of the fame all it shall be one beaten work of pure gold.

37 And thou fhait make the feven lamps thereof: and they fhall light the lamps thereof, that they may give light over against it.

38 And the tongs thereof, and the fnuff dishes thereof, fhall be of pure gold.

39 of a talent of pure gold fall he make it, with all thefe vefels.

40 And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was thewed thee in the mount. CHAP. XXVL

1 The ten curtains of the tabernacle. 11 The vail for the ark.

Moreover thou shalt make the taberna cle with ten curtains fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and fearlet: with cherubims of cunning work fhalt thou make them.

2 The length of one curtain fhall be eight and twenty cubits, and the breadth of one curtain, four cubits: and every one of the curtains fhall have one measure.

3 The five curtains fhall be coupled toge ther one to another: and other five curtains fhall be coupled one to another.

4 And thou fhalt make loops of blue upon the edge of the one curtain, from the felvedge in the coupling: and likewife fhalt thou make in the uttermoft edge of another curtam, in the coupling of the fecond.

Fifty loops halt thou make in the one curtain, and fifty loops fhalt thou make in the edge of the curtain that in the coupling of the fecond; that the loops may take hold one of another.

6 And thou shalt make fifty taches of gold, and couple the curtains together with the taches: and it fhall be one tabernacle. 7 And thou shalt make curtains of goats bair to be a covering upon the tabernacle : eleven.curtains fhalt thou make.

8 The length of one curtain fo be thirty cubits, and the breadth of one curtain, four cubits: and the eleven curtains fhall be all of one measure.

9 And thou shalt couple five curtains by themfelves, and fix curtains by themselves, and fhalt double the fixth curtain in the fore-front of the tabernacle.

10 And thou fhalt make fifty loops on the edge of the one curtain that is outmost in the coupling, and fifty Icops in the edge of the curtain which coupleth the fecond.

II And thou shalt make fifty taches of brafs, and put the taches into the loops, and couple the tent together that it may be one.

12 And the remnant that remaineth of the curtains of the tent, the half curtain that remaineth, fhall hang over the back-fide of the tabernacle.

13 And a cubit on the one fide, and a cubit on the other fide of that which remaine th in the length of the curtains of the tent, it fhall hang over the fides of the tabernacle, on this fide, and on that fide, to cover it.

14 And thou shalt make a covering for the tent of rams skins dyed red, and a covering above of badgers skins,

to the tabernacle. the door of the tent of blue, and purple, and fcarlet, and fine twined linen, wrought with needle-work.

Chap. xxvij. 15 And thou fhalt make boards for the tabernacle, of hittim-wood, ftanding up. 16 Ten cubits fhall be the length of a board, and a cubit and a half shall be the breadth of one board.

17 Two tenons fhall there be in one board, fet in order one against another: thus fhalt thou make for all the boards of the tabernacle.

18 And thou shalt make the boards for the tabernacle, twenty boards on the fouth-fide, fouth-ward.

19 And thou halt make forty fockets of filver, under the twenty boards: two fockets under one board for his two tenons, and two fockets under another board for his two tenons.

20 And for the second fide of the tabernacle on the north-fide, there shall be twenty boards,

21 And their forty fockets of filver: two fockets under one board, and two fockets under another board,

22 And for the fides of the tabernacle weft-ward, thou fhalt make fix boards.

23 And two boards fhalt thou make for the corners of the tabernacle, in the two fides. 24 And they fhall be coupled together beneath, and they fhall be coupled together above the head of it unto one ring thus fhall it be for them both; they fhall be for the two corners.

25 And they fhall be eight boards, and their fockets of filver, fixteen fockets: two fockets under one board, and two fockets under another board.

26 And thou fhalt make bars of fhittim wood: five for the boards of the one fide of the tabernacle,

27 And five bars for the boards of the other fide of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the fide of the tabernacle for the two fides west-ward.

28 And the middle bar in the mids of the boards fhall reach from end to end.

29 And thou halt overlay the boards with gold, and make their rings of gold for places for the bars: and thou fhalt overlay the bars with gold.

30 And thou fhalt rear up the tabernacle according to the fashion thereof, which was Thewed thee in the mount.

314 And thou shalt make a vail of blue, and purple, and fearlet, and fine twined linen of cunning work: with cherubims fhall it be made.

32 And thou fhalt hang it upon four pillars of fhittim-wood,overlaid with gold: their hooks fhall be of gold, upon the four fockets of filver.

33 And thou fhalt hang up the vail under the taches, that thou mayeft bring in thither within the vail, the ark of the teftimo ny: and the vail fall divide unto you, between the holy place and the moft holy.

34 And thou fhalt put the mercy-feat upon the ark of the teftimony in the most holy place. 35 And thou fhalt fet the table without the vail, and the candleftick over against the table on the fide of the tabernacle toward the fouth and thou shalt put the table an the north-fide.

36 And thou faalt make an hanging for

37 And thou fhalt make for the hanging, five pillars of hittim-wood, and overlay them. with gold, and their hooks fhall be of gold: and thou fhalt caft five fockets of brass for them.

CHAP. XXVII. 1 The altar of burnt-offering, with the veffels, 9 The court of the tabernacle. 20 The oyl for the lamp.

ANd thou shalt make an altar of hittin wood, five cubits long, and five cubits broad: the altar fhall be four-fquare, and the height thereof shall be three cubits.

2 And thou fhalt make the horns of it upon the four corners thereof: his horns fhall be of the fame and thou fhalt overlay it with brafs.

3 And thou shalt make his pans to receive his afhes, and his fhovels, and his bafons, and his flefh-hooks, and his fire-pans: all the veffels thereof thou fhalt make of brais.

4 And thou fhalt make for it a grate of net-work of brais; and upon the net fhalt thou make four brafen rings in the four corners thereof.

5 And thou fhalt put it under the compafs of the altar beneath, that the net may be even to the midft of the altar.

6 And theu fhalt make ftaves for the altar, ftaves of fhittim-wood, and overlay them with brass.

And the ftaves fhall be put into the rings, and the ftaves fhall be upon the two fides of the altar to bear it.

8 Hollow with boards fhalt thou make it s as it was thewed thee in the mount, fo fhall they make it.

99 And thou fhalt make the court of the tabernacle for the fouth-fide, fouth-ward: there fhall be hangings for the court of fine twined linen of an hundred cubits long, for one fide.

10And the twenty pillars thereof,and their twenty fockets fhall be of brafs: the hooks of the pillars, and their fillets fhall be of filver.

Ii And likewile for the north-fide in length, there shall be hangings of an hundred cubits long, and his twenty pillars, and their twenty fockets of brafs: the hooks of the pillars, and their fillets of filver.

12 And for the breadth of the court on the weft-fide, fhall be hangings of fifty cubits: their pillars ten, and their lockets ten.

13 And the breadth of the court on the eaft-fide; eaft-ward, fhall be fifty cubits.

14. The hangings of one fide of the gate Shall be fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their lockets three.

15 And on the other fide shall be hangings, fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their fockets three.

169 And for the gate of the court, ha be an hanging of twenty cubits, of blue, and purple, and fcarlet, and fine twined linen, wrought with needle-work: and their pil fars fhall be four, and their fockets four.

17 All the pillars round about the court hall be filleted with filver: their hooks fball be of filver, and their fockets of brafs.

2 And thou fhalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, for glory and for beauty. 3 And thou shalt fpeak unto all that are wife-hearted, whom I have filled with the fpirit of wisdom,that they may make Aarons garments to confecrate him,that he may minifter unto me in the priests office.

4 And these are the garments which they fhall make; a breaft-plate,and an ephod, and a robe, and a broidered coat, a mitre,and a girdle: and they fhall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his fons, that he may minister unto me in the priests office.

And they fhall take gold, and blue, and purple, and fearlet, and fine linen. 69And they fhall make the ephod of gold, of blue, and of purple, of fcarlet, and fine twined linen, with cunning work.

7 It fhall have the two fhoulder-pieces thereof joyned at the two edges thereof; and fo it fhall be joyned together.

8 And the curious girdle of the ephod which upon it, fhall be of the fame, according to the work thereof; even of gold, of blue, and purple, and fcarlet, and fine twined linen.

9 And thou shalt take two onyx-ftones, and grave on them the names of the chil dren of Ifrael:

10 Six of their names on one tone, and the other fix names of the reft on the other ftone according to their birth.

11 With the work of an engraver in ftone, like the engravings of a fignet, fhalt thou engrave the two ftones, with the names of the Children of Ifrael: thou shalt make them to be fet in, ouches of gold.

12 And thou shalt put the two ftones upon the fhoulders of the ephod, for ftones of mes morial unto the children of Ifrael. And Aas ron fhall bear their names before the LORD, upon his two fhoulders for a memorial.

13. And thou fhalt make ouches of gold 14And two chains of pure gold at the ends: fwreathen work shalt thou make them, and gasten the wreathen chains to the ouches.

17. And thou fhalt fet in it fettings of ftones, even four rows of Rones: the firfe row fhall be a fardius, a topaz, and a carbun cle: this shall be the first row.

18 And the fecond row shall be an emeraud, a fapphire, and a diamond.

19 And the third row; a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst.

20 And the fourth row, a beryl, and ans onyx, and a jafper: they fhall be fet in gold in their enclosings.

21 And the ftones fhall be with the names of the children of Ifrael, twelve, according

net, every one with his name fhall they be according to the twelve tribes.

22 And thou shalt make upon the breastplate, chains at the ends of wreathen work, of pure gold.

23 And thou fhalt make upon the breastplate two rings of gold,and thalt put the two rings on the two ends of the breaft-plate.

24 And thou fhalt put the two wreathen chains of gold in the two rings which are on the ends of the breaft-plate.

25 And the other two ends of the two wreathen chains, thou shalt faften in the two ouches, and put them on the fhoulder-pieces of the ephod before it.

26 And thou shalt make two rings of gold, and thou fhalt put them upon the two ends of the breaft-plate, in the border thereof, which is in the fide of the ephod inward.

27 And two other rings of gold thou fhart make, and fhalt put them on the two fides of the ephod, underneath towards the fore-part thereof,over against the other coupling thereof, above the curious girdle of the ephod.

28 And they fhall bind the breaft-plate by the rings thereof, unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it may be above the curious girdle of the ephod, and that the breaft-plate be not loofed from the ephod.

29. And Aaron fhall bear the names of thechildren of Ifrael in the breaft-plate of judg ment, upon his heart; when he goeth in to the holy place, for a memorial before the LORD continually.

30 And thou shalt put in the breaft-platé of judgment, the Urim and the Thummim; and they fhall be upon Aarons heart,when he goeth in before the LORD and Aaron fhall bear the judgment of the children of Ifrael upon his heart;before the LORD continually

31q And thou.fhalt make the robe of the ephod all of blue.
