Of the Commiffion given the Prophet Mugleton's Children, bleffed by the Prophet Reeve; the great Wisdom given unto Sarah Mugleton.

1. HE firft Morning God fpake to John Reeve, he came to my House, and said, Coufin Lodowick, God hath given thee unto me for ever: And the tears ran down both fides his Cheeks amain.

2.

#

So I asked him what was the Matter, for he looked like one that had been rifen out of the Grave; he being a fresh coloured Man the Day before; and the tears ran down his Cheeks apace.

2. So he told me the fame Words as is written in his firft Book, and faid unto me, that God had given him a Commiffion, and that he had given Lodowick Mugleton to be his Mouth And faid, at the fame time was brought to his Mind that faying, that Aaron was given to be Mojes's Mouth.

;

4. But, faid he, what my Meffage is, he could not tell; but, faid he, if God do not fpeak unto me the next Morning,

I will come no more at thee.

5. Which I was in good Hopes he would not, for I was willing to be quiet.

6. Alfo he faid at the fame time, Coufin Lodowick, thy. Children are all Bleffed, but efpecially thy Daughter Sarak, fhe fhall be the Teacher of all the Women in London.

[blocks in formation]

7. She heard him fay thefe Words, as the flood upon the Stairs, for fhe was afraid of him, that he would rather have condemned her, because he never did love her fo well, as he did the youngest Daughter.

8. But he fpake not then for Affection, but as the Revelation moved him.

9. And fhe was the firft Perfon he bleffed to Eternity, after God fpake to him the first Morning.

10. It was the more Marvellous, because it was never heard this many Ages, that a poor Man fhould have that Power, to Blefs and Curfe Men and Women to Eternity.

II. And the believed him, and did grow exceedingly in Experience, and in Difputes with Religious People; and they marvelled that one fo young fhould have fuch Knowledge and Wisdom to answer Queftions; fo that fhe did afterwards indeed become the Teacher of all Women in London, in Matters of Faith and Religion.

12. And the was employed by John Reeve, at the first, to carry Letters to any that he did fend unto.

13.

And there were feveral Perfons came afterwards to my House, more to Difcourfe with her, than us.

14. She was, at that time, about fourteen Years of Age, when this Bleffing was given her by John Reeve; And this was the firft Morning.

15. But I was in good hopes God would not speak to him no more, for I was loath to be Publick: I would gladly have fat fill and be quiet, and not to contend with People about Religion.

16. But the fecond Morning God fpake unto him, and told him what he fhould do, as is fet down in the Book aforefaid.

17. John Reeve faid unto me the fecond Morning, If thou wilt not obey to go along with me, I muft pronounce thee Curfed to Eternity, as God did me, had not I obeyed him.

18. Then

18. Then faid I, In cafe they will not obey me when I fpeak unto them, I have no Power to Curfe them, if they will not go along with me or you.

for

19. Yea, faid he, but you have, as much Power as I have,

you are given to be my Mouth, as Aaron was given to be

Moles's Mouth.

20. So I went with him to one Thomas Turner his Houfe, and faid unto him, Mr. Turner, You must go with us to John Tauny elfe you must be curfed to Eternity.

21.

But bomas Turner was willing to go with us, but his Wife was exceeding Wrath and Fearful, that her Husband would be brought into Trouble by it.

22. And the faid, if John Reeve came again to her Husband, that fhe would run a Spit in his Guts; fo John Reeve curfed her to Eternity.

23. For fhe looked with Wrath and Fear, as if she had newly rifen out of the Grave.

CHA P. II.

The Transactions of the second Morning; and how Thomas Turner went with the Prophets to John Tauny's, and of John Reeve's Message to him; and bow John Tauny and bis Defign Perished, and came to norking.

I.

B

UT Thomas Turner went with us to John Tauny, and John Reeve delivered his Meffage to him, to this Effect: Said he,

2. God hath not Chofen you to be the Lord's High-Prieft, as you declared yourself to be; neither is the Law of Mofes to be acted over again, as you pretend to do, notwithstanding you have Circumcifed yourfelf, to fit you for that Work.

[blocks in formation]

3. Neither are you, being of the Tribe of Reuben, ever to be chofen High-Prieft, for your Father Reuben loft that Birthright of the Priesthood, by going up to his Father's Couch.

4. But the Priefthood was confirmed upon the Tribe of Levy, and to his Seed for ever.

5. And here is my fellow Witness of the Tribe of Levy, which you know yourself he is of that Tribe, and God hath chofen him High-Priest in the last Age, and the laft that God will ever choose to the end of the World.

6. And as Aaron was the firft High-Prieft that God chofe to be Mofes's Mouth, fo Lodowick Mugleton is the laft High Prieft that God hath chofe to be my Mouth, by Voice of Words, to the hearing of the Ear.

7. Befides, faid he, you are not fit to be the Lord's High Prieft, because you ftutter, or stammer in your Speech.

8. Which God never chofe none to be High Priest, but perfect Men in Nature, which you are not.

9. Alfo he faid, You pretend to be King of seven Nations, and to gather the Jews, in all parts of the Earth, together, and to lead them to Jerufalem, and to mount Olivet, and to make them Kings of all the Earth: And that you must follow John Robins with Sword and Spear.

10. These, and feveral other things did he speak to John Tauny; and told him that there fhould never any fuch things come to pafs, as he pretended unto; and charged him to lay all these things down, upon the pain of eternal Damnation, and gave him about a Months time to lay it down.

II. But he did not, but afterwards went further on to profecute that Defign, and made Tents for every Tribe, and the Figures of every Tribe upon the Tent, that every Tribe might know their own Tent.

12. So John Reeve feeing this, he wrote the Sentance of eternal Damnation upon John Tauny, for his Difobedience of the Lord's Commiffion, and left it at his Lodging; for he would not be spoken with at that time.
