19 Grant O Lord, we beseech thee, all orders of the Clergy a right understanding of thy Word; and give them Grace to prove the perfection of their knowledge by the excellency of their Doctrines, and the purity of their Lives.

20 Endue the Lords of the King's Privy Council, and all the Nobility of this Realm, with judgement to difcern the true interests of their Country; with Wisdom to form fuch measures as are most for its advantage; and with religion and integrity, steadily to pursue them.

21 We befeech thee good Lord, to afford thy blesfing and protection to all who are put in truft for the execution of the Laws of this Kingdom, and give them Grace to adminifter Justice impartially to all Men;

and faithfully to support the cause of Truth and Virtue.

Love, Joy, Peace, Long-fuffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness, Temperance, Gal. v. 22. 23.

32 As we sincerely forgive (according to Christ Jesus' Commandment and Example) all that have injured, or wished us evil, either with refpect to our Perfons, Fortunes, or Reputation; so we humbly befeech thee, O Lord, to pardon and forgive them also. 33 O giver of all good gifts send down thy Blessing upon the Fruits of the Earth, that they may grow up to perfection; and that we may receive them in due season to our nourishment, and thy glory.

34 Inspire us O Lord, with such a godly forrow for Sin, as will work in us a Repentance not to be repented of; pardon and forgive all our paft Tranfgreffions of thy Law, whether owing to perverseness, inconfiderati on, or want of inftruction; afford us such help by thy Holy Spirit, as will enable us to reform our lives after the rule of thy Commandments.

God merciful Father, that despisest not the fighing of a con→ trite heart, nor the defire of such as be forrowful; mercifully assist our prayers that we make before thee in all our troubles and adversities, whensoever they oppress us; and gracioufly hear us, that those evils, which the craft and fubtilty of the devil or man worketh against us, be brought to nought, and by the providence of thy goodness they may be dispersed, that we thy fervants, being hurt by no perfecutions, may evermore give thanks unto thee in thy holy Church, through Jefus Christ our Lord, O Lord, arise, help us, and deliver us for thy Names fake.
