A Prayer for the Kings Majefty.

O gracious God, who ruleft over all the Kingdoms of the Earth; we earnestly intreat thee to blefs our most benevolent Sovereign King George; and fo influence him, by thy Holy Spirit, that he may always be difpofed for thy fervice and obey thy Commandments: give him Wisdom and Knowledge to promote the welfare of his People----Grant him Health, long Life, and Profperity,--enable him to fubdue all his Enemies; and after this Life advance him to an eternal Crown of Happiness through Jesus Christ.
When the fhades of darkness are approaching we are going to give up ourselves to the defenceless state of fleep; and how reasonable is it for us to implore the protection of that God who neither flumbereth nor Яleepeth.

Lmighty God, the fountain of all goodness, we humbly befeech thee to bless our Gracious Queen Charlotte, their Royal Highneffes George Prince of Wales, the Princess Dowager of Wales, and all the Royal Family: Endue them with thy Holy Spirit; enrich them with thy heavenly grace; profper them with all happiness; and bring them to thine everlasting kingdom, through Jefus Chrift our Lord. Amen.
A Prayer for the Clergy and People.
Lmighty and everlasting God, who alone workest great marvels; Send down upon our Bishops and Curates, and all Congregations committed to their charge, the healthful Spirit of thy grace; and that they may truly please thee, pour upon them the continual dew of thy bleffing. Grant this, O Lord, for the honour of our Advocate and Mediator Jesus Christ. Amen.

No lefs is it reasonable that men should pray for their fpiritual Guides, and for a bleffing upon their labours: because tho' Paul plant and Apollos water, yet it is God that must give the increafe.
A Prayer of St. Chryfoftom.
+A who haft given us at this time with
one accord, to make our common fupplications unto thee, and doft promise, that when two or three are gathered together in thy Name, thou wilt grant their requefts: Fulfil now, O Lord, the defires and petitions of thy Servants, as may be most expedient for them; granting us in this world knowledge of thy truth, and in the world to come life everlasting. Amen. 2 Cor. xiii. 14.

§ The Creed of Saint Athanafius. Upon Christmas-day, the Epiphany, Saint Matthias, Eafter-day, Afcenfion-day, Whitfunday, Saint John Baptift, Saint James, Saint Bartholomew, Saint Matthew, Saint Simon and Saint Jude, Saint Andrew, and upon Trinity-Sunday, fhall be fung or faid at Morning Prayer, instead of the Apostles Creed, this Confeffion of our Chriftian Faith, commonly called, The Creed of Saint Athanafius, by the Minifter and People, ftanding. Quicunque vult.
Hofoever will be faved: before all things it is neceffary that he hold the Catholick Faith. Paraphrafe on the Athanafian Creed. Whofoever hopes to enjoy the benefits of Redemption, it is abfolutely neceffary that he believe the Gofpel. The principal articles of Faith contained, in which are thefe following, viz. That there is none other

This Prayer of St. Chryfoftom, has been used in the fervice of the Greek Church above one thoufand three hundred years: and the feveral petitions which have been offered up in feparate Collects are fumm'd up in this.
This Benedictory Prayer of St. Paul contains the fum and fubftance of Chriftianity, fhewing that the Bleffings of the Gospel, are derived from the Love of God; obtained thro' the Grace of our Lord Jefus

This Creed was first published in the eighth Century. The condemnatory Expreffions contained in it, relate only to thofe who when they clearly fee the Truth, jof the Doctrines contained in this Creed, perverfely fhut their Eyes against Conviction, and chuse darkness rather than light.
Which Faith, except every one do keep whole and undefiled: without doubt he fhall perish everlastingly.
