EAGERNESS (probably that of a novice in authorship), in following up my hypothesis on the Passover, diverted me, for a time, from continuing the Volume of Sermons, which I hoped to have the honour of dedicating to you. After many interruptions, I am at length enabled to complete my object; and the change of plan has not, perhaps, been unproductive of advantage to me.
