Rock! "Abide in him; that when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming."
Your affectionate Servant,
About a year after the date of this letter, the writer resigned his situation at Cleck-heaton on account of illness; but he desires to record the Divine Goodness in favouring him with a degree of recovery. On the commencement of the year 1815, he undertook the charge of a small congregation at Clapton in Middlesex, where he has the happiness to pursue his former engagements, though with frequent and discouraging interruptions; and has also the high satisfaction of witnessing the growth and prosperity of the Redeemer's cause in a new but important station.
Clapton, August, 1817.
