Reverence and Veneration, which is due to them as fuch; and that it fhould be the Endeavour of their Lives, and Drift of their whole Converfation, to weaken its Discipline, to fubvert its Conftitution, to find Faults in its Liturgy, to expofe its Worship, and difpute against its Doctrine and Creeds: This is a fatal Delufion, and unaccountable Infatuation, contrary to the Sentiments and Practice of all Mankind befides. 'Tis a bare-fac'd Hypocrify, and Diffimulation with God and Man; and will leave them nothing to plead, when they come to render an Account, why they are not true to that Religion they made their Choice, and in which they hop'd to be fav'd.
