But be ye Doers of the Word, and not Hearers only, deceiving your own felves.

For if any be a Hearer of the Word, and not a Doer, he is like to a Man beholding his natural Face in a Glass:

For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his Way, and firaitway forgetteth what manner of Man he was.

But whofo looketh into the perfect Law of Liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful Hearer, but a Doer of the Word, this Man fhall be bleffed in his Deed.

Luke vi. 47, 48. Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my Sayings, and doth them, I will fhew you to whom he is like.

He is like a Man which built an Houfe, and digged deep, and laid the Foundation on a Rock: and when the Flood arofe, the Stream beat vehemently upon that House, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a Rock.

Pf. i. 1, 2. Bleed is the Man that walketh not in the Counfel of the Ungodly, nor ftandeth in the Way of Sinners, nor fitteth in the Seat of the Scornful.

But bis Delight is in the Law of the Lord, and in his Law doth he meditate Day and Night.

Pf. xix. 8, 10, 11. The Statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the Heart: the Commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the Eyes.

More to be defired are they than Gold, yea than much fine Gold: fweeter alfo than Honey, and the Honey-comb.

Moreover, by them is thy Servant warned, and in keeping of them there is great Reward.

Pf. cxix. 9. Wherewithal fhall a young Man cleanfe his Way? by taking Heed thereto according to thy Word.

12. Bleed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy Statutes.

49. Remember thy Word unto thy Servant, upon which thou haft caufed me to hope.

73. Thy Hands have made me, and fashioned me, give me Understanding that I may learn thy Commandments.

89. For ever, O Lord, thy Word is fettled in Heaven. 96. I have feen an End of all Perfections; but thy Commandment is exceeding Broad.

105. Thy Word is a Lamp unto my Feet, and a Light unto my Path.

116. Uphold mè according to thy Word, and let me not be afhamed of my Hope.

130. The Entrance of thy Words giveth Light: it giveth Understanding unto the Simple. 133. Order

133. Order my Steps in thy Word, and let not Iniquity have Dominion over me.

155. Salvation is far from the Wicked: for they feek not thy Statutes.

165. Great Peace have they which love thy Law, and nothing fhall offend them.

Rom. xvi. 25, 26, 27. Now to him that is of Power to ftablish you according to my Gospel, and the Preaching of Jefus Christ according to the Revelation of the Mystery which was kept fecret fince the World began.

But now is made manifeft, and by the Scriptures of the Prophets, according to the Commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all Nations for the Obedience of Faith.

To God only wife, be Glory through Jesus Christ for evera Amen.
