unto them, Receive ye the Holy ye might believe that Jesus is Ghost. the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing, ye might have life through his name.

CHAP. XXI.

23 Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.

25 The other disciples, therefore, said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe. 26 And after eight days, again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

28 And Thomas answered, and said unto him, My Lord, and my God.

29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

THE DRAUGHT OF FISHES.

30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:

AFTER these things, Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples, at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he himself.

2 There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples. 3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thec. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing. 4 But, when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus.

5 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.

6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved, saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now, when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord,

31 But these are written, that he girt his fisher's coat unto him,

(for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.

8 And the other disciples came in a little ship, (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) draggingest the net with fishes.

9 As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.

10 Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.

11 Simon Peter went up, and dew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three; and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.

12 Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.

13 Jesus then cometh, and taketh brend, and giveth them, and fish likewise.

|| unto him, Yea,
unto him, Yea, Lord; thou
knowest that I love thee. He
saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
17 He saith unto him the third
time, Simon, son of Jonas, lov-

14 This is now the third time, that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, after that he was risen from the dead.

thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. 18 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.

19 This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And, when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.

20 Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved, following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betraveth thee?

21 Peter seeing him, saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?

15 So, when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou krowest that I love thee. He sith unto him, Feed my lambs.me.

23 Then went this saying

16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jo-abroad among the brethren, that nas, lovest thou me? He saith that disciple should not die: yet

22 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou

5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

6 When they, therefore, were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

2 Until the day in which he
was taken up, after that he,
through the Holy Ghost, had
given commandments unto the
apostles whom he had chosen:
3 To whom also he shewed
himself alive after his passion,
by many infallible proofs, being
seen of them forty days, and
speaking of the things pertain-hath put in his own power:

7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times, or the seasons, which the Father

4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded

8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be

them, that they should not de-witnesses unto me, both in Je

rusalem, and in all Judea, and | scripture must needs have been in Samaria, and unto the utter- fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost, most part of the earth. by the mouth of David, spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.

9 And, when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And, while they looked stedfastly toward heaven, as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.

11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath-day's journey. 13 And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alpheus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.

14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

15 And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of the names together were about an hundred and twenty,)

16 Men and brethren, this

18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and, falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.

19 And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood. 20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein; and, His bishoprick let another take.

21 Wherefore, of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, 22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained, to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

23 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias. 24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen, 25 That he may take part of
