them that hate me and wish me evil. The Lord, he is God, and Lord of all; just and true are all his ways, and holy is his Name.

LESSON XIV.

All things were made by him, and without him we can-not be safe from them that hate us.

All they that love God, will keep his laws; and all ye that love the Lord, see that ye hate sin.

LESSON XV.

I will love thee, O Lord, as long as I live; so keep me, O God, from all bad Men, for my hope is in thee.

My son, walk not in thy own way, but walk in the way of the Lord,and, he will love you and do you good.

LESSON XVI.

My Son, do not play with them that do ill, for if you do, the Lord will not love you.

I will love thee, O Lord, for thou hast made me, and art kind to me

in all that I do. Day by Day will: I sing to thee, and I will not play with them that take thy Name.in vain, but I will love thy law, and walk in thy ways.

Some Easy Lessons, of one Syllable, on God and the Creation.

LESSON XVII.

On God is my love, he is good to all, all things are of him.

Our God is a great God, he is a King of kings, and Lord of lords.

LESSON XVIII.

First of all, God made Heaven and Earth; he then made the light and dark; the light he made Day," and dark Night, and the Eve and Morn were the first Day.

LESSON XIX.

The next thing God made was the Air and Sky, this was the work of the next day.

Then did he part the Sea from the Land; he made the earth to bring.

forth Grass, and all sorts of Herbs to yield Seed, and Trees to bear Fruit,andGod saw it was good; this was the work of the third day.

LESSON XX.

Then God made the Sun, that great light to rule the day; he made the Moon the less light to rule the Night; he also made the Stars, that shine so bright in the sky, and cheer the gloom of Night; this was done on the fourth day.

LESSON XXI. .

Next God made the Fish of the Sea, and Fowls of the Air, which was the work of the fifth Day.

And on the sixth Day, God made all the Beasts of the Earth,and each thing that creeps upon the Ground.

LESSON XXII.

On the same sixth day, God made Man to rule the Fish of the Sea, Fowls of the Air, and each thing that lives and moves on the

Earth.

And God saw all that he

had made, and that they were good.

LESSON XXIII.

Last of all God made Man of the dust of the Earth, and called his name Adam; and Adam gave Names to all the Beasts, Fowls, and Fishes, that were created.

LESSON XXIV.

But as God had made a Male and Female of every thing, except Man, he there-fore brought a deep sleep upon Adam, and took a Rib out of his side, of which he formed a Woman, and her Name was called Eve; and from these two sprang all the peo-ple of the Earth.

LESSON XXV.

God made the World, and all the things in it; he is Lord of all, and dwells not in a house made by hands. Nor is he in need of any Thing, since he gives to all, Life, Breath, and all good Things

EASY LESSONS.

The Boy I'm sure does well Who tries to read and spell;

And if, with all his might He strives with pen to write,

He soon his end would gain, Nor will he strive in vain.
