TABLE VIII.

Some Easy Lessons, consisting of Words not exceeding three Letters.

LESSON I.

A bad Boy and a bad Man go in a bad Way, and put off God's Law. All who sin go in a bad Way; use not the ill way, for the end of it is bad.

LESSON II.

My Son, let not a bad Poy sit by you, nor go in his way if you are bid, for if you do ill, you cannot go

to God.

In God do I put my Joy, and to him do I cry all the Day.

LESSON III.

My Joy is to try the Law of God. I am not in the way of Sin; for if I do sin, I cannot go to God. Go not far off me, O my God, nor let me not go out of thy ways.

LESSON IV.

If Sin be in us, we are in an ill way; let us go out of it, for it is bad. Who can say he has no sin andis in the way of God: no one can say so.

LESSON V.

The eye of God is on all Men; in God do I put my joy, and to him do I cry all the Day.

If any Man do ill he cannot go to God, for the way of God is good. My son, do as you are bid; but if you are bid, do no ill.

LESSON VI.

I see thy way, O God; O how I joy in it: O let me not sin.. Let not my sin put me off, nor let me go to the pit, but try me thy way.

EASY LESSONS.

The boy will learn who minds his book,

And when at school in it does look.

That child is good, and soon will say His task, and then he's off to play. Be good, and you will soon be great; To learn, it cannot be too late.

Mind what is said, for good is meant; Do what you're bid, go where you're sent.

To hide a crime ne'er tell a lie;

To cheat

your master do not try.

LESSON VII.

I will mind thee O Lord, my God; day by day will I pray to thee.

Go not far from me, I will mind the way of the Lord, my God, that I may not sin.

LESSON VIII.

I will shun them, that will hurt me, lest I be hurt by them.

I will not walk with them that are bad, lest 1 be so too.

But I will walk in the way of my God, and then he will help me.

LESSON IX.

My Son, do what is just, and God will love you; call on him, and he will help you; seek the Lord, and you will find him.

For the Lord will help all them that cry to him with a' pure Mind.

but I will walk in a good Path all my life, that I may keep in the way of the lord my God, for God doth see us, and all that we do.

LESSON XI.

For this will I call on him and pay my Vow; I will pray to God all the day, I will lift up my mind to him, and call on him for help.

The Lord is the true God, and doth mind all that we say or do.
