Christ feedeth four thousand.

17 And when he was entered into the more a great deal they pub-

ciples asked him concerning the par-
able.

18 And he saith unto them. Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, if cannot defile him:

19 Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all

meats?

20 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the

man.

21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,

37 And were beyond measure as tonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb speak.

ness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. 24 And from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into a house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hid.

25 For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet:

26 The woman was a Greek, n Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.

But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.

28 And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table cut of the children's crumbs.

29 And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.

30 And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed. 31 And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.

32 And "they bring unto him one Luke 11. 14. that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they be scech him to put his hand upon him. 33 And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue;

6 And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they did set them before the people.

7 And they had a few small fishes: and he blessed, and commanded to set them also before them.

8 So they did eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets.

9 And they that had eaten were about four thousand: and he sent them away.

Matt. 14. 19. ch. 6. 41.

10 And straightway he entered 4Matt. 15. 29. into a ship with his disciples, and came into the parts of Dalmanutha. 11 And the Pharisees came forth, Matt. 12 78. and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him.

12 And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you. There shall no sign be given unto this generation.

13 And he left them, and entering into the ship again departed to the other side.

6 For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.

7 And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.
