A few Scripture Texts, to prove that Man's natural Wisdom and Reason is inferior to the Wisdom of God, and insufficient for his Sal

With God is terrible majesty: touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power and in judgement, and in plenty of justice; he will not afflict;-men do therefore fear him ;—he respecteth not any that are wise of heart. xxxvii. 22 to 24.

Who hath put wisdom in the inward parts, or who hath given understanding to the heart? Xxxviii. 36.

but now mine eye seeth thee; wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes. Job xlii.

And an highway shall be there, and a way; and it shall be called the way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it;-the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err herein. xxxv. 8.

For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent, because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For ye see your calling, brethren; how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble are called. But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things that are mighty; and base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen; yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: that no flesh should glory in his presence. 1 Cor. i. 19; 25, 26;
