But if our Gospel be hid, it is hid to them. that are lost: in whom the God of this world hath blinded the minds of them which beleve not, lest the light of the glorious Gespel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine 2 Cor. iv. 3, upon them.

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. Titus ii. 13.

And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true; and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. 1 John v. 20..

REPRESENTED AS CREATOR OF THE WORLD ;— HIS POWER UNLIMITED.

The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. When he prepared the heavens, I was there when he set a compass on the face of the deep, &c. then I was with him, as one brought up with him and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him. Prov. viii. 22, 23; 27; 30.

But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out

of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from old, from everlasting. Micah v. 2. Matt. ii. 6.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was. not any thing made that was made. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. John i. 1, 2, 3; 10.

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Matt. xxvii. 18.

And no man hath ascended into heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of Man, which is in heaven. He that cometh from above is above all. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for he giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. John iii. 13; 31; 34.

The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. 35.

What and if ye shall see the Son of Man ascend up where he was before? John vi. 62. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day; he saw it, and was glad. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abrahain was, I am. John viii. 56; 58.

Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God. John xiii. 3.

He shall glorify me; for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine. John xvi. 14, 15. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self, with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. Father, I will that they also whom thou hast given me be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory which thou hast given me; for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. John xvii.

5; 24.

But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge. 1 Cor. viii. 6, 7.

To make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who hath created all things through Jesus Christ: to the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the Church, the manifold wisdom of God, according to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord. Ephes. iii. 9, 10, 11.

Who is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of every creature: for by him were all things created that are in heaven, and that are in the earth, visible and invisible: all things were created by him, and for him. And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the Church; who is the beginning, the first-born from the dead; that in all things he might have the pre-eminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell. Col. i. 15 to 19.

God hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things; by whom also he made the worlds. And thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thy hands ;-upholding all things by the word of his power. Heb. i. 2, 3 ; 10.—See Psalm cii. 25.

For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the

house: for every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God:-but Christ as a Son over his own house, whose house are Heb. iii. 3, 4; 6.

AN OBJECT OF WORSHIP AND ADORATION.

Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre: thou lovest righteousness, and hatest iniquity; therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house; so shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him. Psalm xlv. 6, 7; 10, 11.

In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth. He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth. Yea, all kings shall fall down before him; all nations shall serve him. Psalm 1xxii. 7, 8;

Thus saith the Lord, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One; To him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the Lord that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee. Behold, I will lift up my hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people. And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and
