BOOK II. FROM THE OLD TESTAMENT, From the First Book of MOSES, called GENESIS. 6 And God faid, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters: and let it divide the waters from the CHAP. I. II And he faid, Who told thee that thou waft naked? haft thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee, that thou shouldest not eat? 5 For God doth know, 12 And the man faid, that in the day ye eat thereof, The woman whom thou then your eyes fhall be open-gaveft to be with me, fhe gave ed; and ye fhall be as gods,me of the tree, and i did eat. 4 And the ferpent faid únto the woman, Ye fhall not furely die. |
