IN offering to the public a revised and enlarged impression of this work, the author conceives it would be downright affectation in him to pass over in total silence the objections that have been made to its original title, by some judicious and much esteemed friends: he must deem it, however, matter of high gratification, that in a work, embracing so many topics, he has not afforded them more weighty causes for objection.
