Now the names of the twelve Apo- 2. ftles are thefe: The firft, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, James the fon of Zebedee, and John his brother, Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas, and Matthew the publican, James the fon of Alpheus, and Lebbeus, whofe firname was Thaddeus, Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who alfo betrayed him. Thefe twelve Jefus fent forth, two by two, and com. manded them faying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not.
